Camp Rioichiro Arai (Kazuno Facility)

Camp Rioichiro Arai, better known as “Kazuno,” in Kurohone, Kiryu-shi, Gunma Prefecture, is the school outdoor education site. Every year students in grades 4-8 travel to Kazuno. The goal of the trips is to extend learning experiences beyond the classrooms. Students are responsible for meal preparation, clean up, and general housekeeping.

Exchange Programs with Kurohone Schools

Since the formalization, in 1994, of sister schools with the elementary and junior high schools in Kurohone/Kazuno, students from both schools participate in exchange programs. The program includes homestays, day-trips to Kurohone/Tokyo, and other activities to nurture friendship and to practice inter-cultural experiences.
