Notes on tax status
In Japan:
Gakko Hojin Nishimachi International School is certified as a Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin (Special Public Interest Promotion Organization) in accordance with Income Tax Code, Article 217, Section 1-4, and Corporate Organization Code, Article Section 1-4. Any amount contributed over the sum of 5,000 yen, not exceeding 40% of the entire taxable income, may be deducted from taxable income in Japan.
In the U.S.A.:
Gifts in U.S. dollars to Nishimachi Foundation are tax-deductible for U.S. taxpayers according to Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
