Clubs and ensembles, supervised by faculty, provide students with a variety of extra-curricular activities. These are opportunities to develop skills and interests beyond the normal, prescribed curriculum. These extra-curricular activities include:

  • sports teams that regularly play competitively with other international schools in the Tokyo area
  • music ensembles that perform both in school and at regional school festivals and
  • opportunities for participation in community service projects

Special School Activities

During the school year, the school offers many opportunities for students and parents to enrich their school experiences. These activities include music and drama performances by students in addition to demonstrations and lectures by the outside guests.

Music, Art, and Drama Performances

Throughout the year, music recitals, chorus performances, drama presentations, and art exhibitions by both elementary and middle school students are held.

Winter Concert (December)

Winter concert is held in the early evening at the end of winter term. This concert aims to give students an opportunity to perform and share their fine arts learning experiences with the community.

Sports Day (May)

K–9 students participate in our annual sports day, usually held in May. All parents and family members are invited to attend.

Food Fair (October - Open to the general public)

Everyone is invited to enjoy this food and fun-filled day in which the Nishimachi community and its friends taste dishes from around the world whilst enjoying music and dance performances during the day
