Terence Michael Christian Headmaster

Hello and welcome to the Nishimachi public web site.

Nishimachi is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and by the Council of International Schools (CIS), which attests to the high standards we have in our academic program.

We are very fortunate to employ a well-qualified, enthusiastic, energetic faculty and staff who work industriously to provide excellent learning opportunities for students both inside and outside of the classroom. The school's reputation is very well known and firmly established. We offer a highly regarded, vibrant education which has evolved out of our unique history related to our English-Japanese language programs, and multicultural approaches to learning.

Nishimachi traditionally benefits from very strong alumni interaction and support, which greatly enhances the life and character of the school. Each year we are also fortunate to receive many applications from families who express a very positive interest in having their children experience a Nishimachi education.

We have just completed our 60th anniversary year, of the founding of school by Tane Matsukata, and our strategic plan for the period 2010 to 2015.
