Yen gifts over ¥2,000 are eligible for tax deductibility.

1. Nishimachi International School is certified as a Tokutei Koeki Zoshin Hojin (Special Public Interest Promotion Organization), and your donation may be deducted from your taxable income in Japan.
2. Alternatively, in accordance with the amendment to the tax laws for donations made by individuals, your donation may be deducted from your income tax.

You may choose either (1) or (2) when filing your tax return. Please consult your tax advisor.

Put Nishimachi in Your Plans

Planned gifts and bequests are made by individuals who include Nishimachi International School, or Nishimachi Foundation for U.S. taxpayers, in their gift and estate plans. Gifts of appreciated securities or real estate can be part of your planned gifts.

When making a gift through an estate plan, changes can always be made if your situation changes.

Simple

You can structure a bequest to leave a specific item or amount of money, make the gift contingent on certain events, or simply leave a percentage of your estate to Nishimachi.

Tax Benefit

While current gifts such as gifts of appreciated securities can have tax benefits, your estate may benefit from an estate charitable deduction, lowering the amount subject to estate tax. If your estate in Japan is subject to property tax, your gift may be entitled to a property tax charitable deduction for the gift's value depending on the location of the property or other circumstances.

The CCP is a special corporate scholarship program that is available for organizations that are responsible for covering expatriate employee’s educational expenses. Instead of paying tuition and applicable fees, companies agree to make donations to the school. The donations are used partly to fund special corporate scholarships, which are granted to dependents of participating companies.
