Summer Explorers Little Vikings!

Grade Levels: Incoming Kindergarten and current Nishimachi Kindergarten Students.
The goal of this program is to focus on helping students new to our Kindergarten program have a smooth transition into Nishimachi as well help our current Kindergarten students move into the next academic year. This can be a very different experience for both the students and our program helps to ensure they are prepared and comfortable to start school in August. Students will experience a Japanese and English two-way immersion program, which will provide an opportunity to further develop social skills, to learn routines and to feel confident about the upcoming school year. Students will also have opportunities to develop friendships and become oriented to their new physical environment. Through the program they will experience and enjoy art, music, sports and other interactive learning activities.

Summer Explorers Big Vikings!

This summer school opportunity will allow students to have fun on campus while trying different STEAM and exploratory classes with new friends. Students will meet new teachers, assistants, and different grade-level peers in a fun but structured environment. By the end of the program, students will have learned more about the campus and themselves. Students can enjoy learning in a fun environment while fine-tuning their Nishimachi Learner Expectations by earning badges to show their growth. A surprise at the end of the program annually keeps our students coming back year after year.

Summer Care at Nishimachi!

Grade levels: Incoming Kindergarten - Grade 2

Our after-school care team runs this special program to support busy parents during summer. This opportunity will allow the incoming kindergarten to current grade 2 students to connect with the after-school care team and different grade-level students. Students will explore locations and tap into their creativity in a supervised, supportive, non-academic environment.

Summer Camp at Nishimachi’s Camp Kazuno!

Take part in an overnight summer camp at our historical Kazuno location. Gunma Prefecture is located in the Kanto region about an hour’s drive from Tokyo. It is home to many beautiful mountains and national parks. Nishimachi International School, along with TCC (Tokyo Coding Club), is excited to host another iteration of our popular Summer camps in Gunma. We will have a week full of outdoor activities in Gunma’s forested hills and lakes along with fun and educational lessons in programming and robotics curriculum. This will definitely be a Summer to remember! Students who attend will participate in daily intensive coding lessons every morning and develop an affinity for nature by engaging in activities such as hiking, kayaking, and swimming every afternoon.
