Outreach Scholarship Golf Tournament 2016

Many, many thanks to the golfers, volunteers, and tournament sponsors who made the 13th Annual Outreach Scholarship Golf Tournament a great success. We raised a record ¥1,811,000 for the Outreach Scholarship Program for Student Diversity!

After posing for a group photo, forty-five golfers, over one-third current parents, hopped on their carts to start the morning round on a beautiful sunny day. Current parent Kenro Tsutsumi returned for lunch with the best morning round score of 2-over-par 38. Two players, however, played very well in the afternoon with 1-over-par 37’s to take the top spots for the day. Alumni parent Felix Pang took third place with a net 72.0 (gross 78) while current parent Michael Schaffer came in second with a net 71.0 (gross 77). The winner was Atsuta Kouji with a net 70.6 (gross 85).

We hope to see many more Nishimachi families (parent and child) on the course next year on Saturday, May 27, 2017!.
