Grade 8 Clothes Drive for Tohoku, 11/16-11/23

Please support our Grade 8 students again in their Tohoku Clothing Drive!  (Monday, November 16 ~Monday, November 23) In addition to warm clothing, household items, and craft materials, we’re also collecting green stamps and blue chip stamps. (The green and the blue chip stamps are given out at some stores in Azabu-Juban.)


As in the past, we’ll be sending collected items to three organizations in Tohoku. Our contact person in Iwate mentioned that the people need less clothing but really appreciate receiving sports wear and things for home and kitchen.

Clothes do not have to be new but should be gently used and clean items.  No shoes, toys, and used undergarments. Please put clothing in bags, preferably in clear plastic bags, labeled with the size and gender.


Household items: obento boxes, aluminum foils, saran wraps, sponges, laundry soap, shampoo/body soap, make-up/ lip gloss, hand cream, lip cream, hokairo, canned goods, dried food, pocket tissues, handkerchiefs etc.


Electronics (used): electric heaters, iPod etc

 

For garden: Seeds/bulbs/flower pots

 

Crafts and fabrics: yarn, thread, fabric, ribbons, craft items

 

School Supplies: notebooks, pencils/pens, sharp pens, different color pens, Namae pens (markers), new pencil cases with pencils/pens/erasers etc. in them.

Bags & Accessories: used hand bags/purses/tote bags/sports bags, Accessories.


School use: white socks for JH and HS boys to go with their uniforms, white button down shirts to go under uniformswhite sports shirts/sports socks/wind breakers also for this group. Sizes L-XL
