Dear Nishimachi-Kai members,

We hope you are well this time of year and staying warm as temperatures start to drop. It seems like we are experiencing a quick transition from summer to winter without much of a fall season in between. The school year continues to go by quickly, and students are immersed in their studies and sporting activities.

*** Class Reunions ***
Are you thinking of holding a class reunion, but don’t know how to get back in touch with your classmates? Do you want to attend a reunion but don’t know who to contact? Nishimachi Development Office has your answers! Each year, there are multiple ‘mini’ get-togethers all over the world, as well as regional reunions. In addition to these, we look forward to the following classes celebrating their anniversary years!

*** Outreach Scholarship Walkathon ***
This was the second walkathon/runathon event, held on Saturday, November 15th. We were able to raise over ¥1.5 million yen for Outreach Scholarship Program! Thank you to the 19 alumni and alumni parents who supported the event!

*** The Internationalist ***
The most recent issue of The Internationalist was sent out in late October. We are always looking forward to receiving updates and photos from alumni and former staff/faculty. If you have any news to share, please send it to us at alumni@nishimachi.ac.jp. Also, please update your information at http://www.nishimachi.ac.jp/page.cfm?p=627 if you have not received your copy of The Internationalist.

*** TNK Community Service Committee - Quilt Cards for Sale ***
Just in time for the holidays, the Tomo no Kai Community Service Committee is going to sell blank greeting cards with photos of beautiful Nishimachi quilts. There are three designs - "Kaguya Hime" from 2014, "From Japan With Love" from 2013 and "Peace Crane” from 2012. The inside is blank, with a brief description of the quilts on the back. The cards will be sold for 200 yen each, or an assortment of 6 (2 of each design) for 1,000 yen. To purchase, please contact Mitsuko (mitsuko.kodaira@yahoo.com) or Reimi (reimi.willett@gmail.com).
