Outreach Scholarship Golf Tournament 2014 Report

Outreach Scholarship Golf Tournament 2014 Report
Development Office

Many, many thanks to the participants, volunteers, and tournament sponsors who made the 11th Annual Outreach Scholarship Golf Tournament a great success! A special thanks to Yoji Takahashi for hosting the tournament at Chiba Birdie Club. We made a record ¥1,730,784 on the day from the charity hole, raffle, and outright donations to the Outreach Scholarship Program for Student Diversity.

Thirty-seven golfers (11 parents, 6 alumni, 3 alumni parents, 3 staff, and 14 friends) and eight volunteers participated in this year's tournament. Once again, we were blessed with fine spring weather, and everybody enjoyed golfing on the beautiful course.

Yoshiaki Aoshima, father of Kengo '14, took home the winning trophy with a net score of 73.2 (gross 84). In close second was Takao Kobayashi, father of a Nishimachi third grader, with a net 73.4 (gross 83). In third was Erik Svalander, father of Julienne '14, with a net 73.4 (gross 95).

You can still support the Outreach Scholarship Program by going to Making A Gift

We hope to see more Nishimachi families (parent and child) on the course next year, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015!
